For the 2nd day of the Champions Cup, the Rochelais logically lost this Saturday on the Stormers pitch, with a reshuffled team.
It was expected. The Stormers, winners at the opening of the Champions Cup in Bayonne, confirmed their current good run by getting the better of La Rochelle (42-21), strongly rejuvenated Saturday in Port Elizabeth.
Best South African franchise at the start of the season, now with eight victories in as many matches in all competitions (two in the Champions Cup, editor’s note), the players from Cape Town join Leinster, another big outsider in the competition, at the head of pool 3, while La Rochelle ends this first act with a victory and a defeat.
