Stephen Jackson Jr. Named New Head Football Coach at Lancaster High School

Lancaster, TX – January 8, 2026 – Lancaster Autonomous School District (LISD) has appointed Stephen Jackson Jr. as the new Assistant Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for Lancaster High School. Coach Jackson brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the program.
A Proven Leader in Texas High School Football
Coach Jackson possesses over 15 years of experience coaching Texas high school football. He most recently served as the Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at West Mesquite High School,were he achieved a remarkable 22-3 overall record in just two seasons. During his tenure, the program consistently reached the playoffs, earning district and area finalist recognition.His success at West Mesquite led to him being named Mesquite ISD coach of the Year in 2024.
Extensive Coaching Background
Prior to his success at West Mesquite, Coach Jackson held head coaching positions at Dallas Seagoville High School. He also contributed his expertise as an offensive coordinator at Duncanville High school, Red Oak High School, and Wilmer Hutchins High School. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a talent for building disciplined teams, fostering student-athlete development both on and off the field, and creating high-performing offensive strategies.

Coach jackson will officially join Lancaster ISD on January 19th. He will be introduced to students, parents, and staff during a series of meet-and-greet events. Specific times and locations will be announced soon by the Lancaster ISD Athletics Department.
