Las Vegas cheesesteak enthusiasts are gearing up for the third annual cheesesteak eating competition at Pride of Philly Steaks (POPS) on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The event coincides with National Cheesesteak Day and will feature nearly two dozen competitors vying to finish a 2-foot cheesesteak the fastest. The grand prize? Free cheesesteaks for a year.

The competition will take place on the newly renovated patio at Pride of Philly Steaks. Contestants will race against the clock to consume the massive cheesesteak, with the winner earning a year’s supply of their favorite Philly-style treat. News 3 Las Vegas first reported the event.
Patio Renovation and National Cheesesteak Day Celebration
The celebration extends beyond the competition. On Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m. To 10 p.m., Pride of Philly Steaks will offer $10 cheesesteaks to all guests on their renovated patio. The renovation, completed in spring 2026, includes refreshed signage, new digital menu boards, updated outdoor flooring, new furniture, and a refreshed Benjamin Franklin mural.
