Las Vegas Set to Host Super Bowl LXIII in 2029

NFL owners are expected to approve Las Vegas as the host city for Super Bowl LXIII, which will be played after the 2028 season, sources confirmed to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. The vote is scheduled to take place at next week’s annual league meetings in Phoenix.

According to sources, the decision to return the Super Bowl to Las Vegas is largely a formality. The city successfully hosted Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024, marking the first time the event was held at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

A Successful Debut for Las Vegas

Super Bowl LVIII, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers, was the longest Super Bowl in NFL history, lasting 74 minutes and 57 seconds including overtime. The event showcased Las Vegas’s ability to host a major sporting event and transform into a premier destination for fans.

Future Super Bowl Locations

Following the expected approval for Las Vegas to host in 2029, the next two Super Bowls are already scheduled. Super Bowl LIX will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers. Super Bowl LX will then be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, home of the Atlanta Falcons.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell praised Las Vegas’s transformation in preparation for Super Bowl LVIII, stating in December 2023, “You really have become Sports Town USA.”
