The Ministry of Culture (KM) has announced an open competition for the position of director of the Latvian National Museum of Art (LNMM).
In early January, long-time LNMM director Māra Lāce announced that she will end her career at the museum on April 13th this year and retire.
The monthly salary of the LNMM director is set at €4,373 (gross).
According to the Ministry of Culture, the most important duties of the director of the LNMM are to plan, manage, and coordinate the work of the LNMM, as well as to plan the rational use of the museum’s resources.
The requirements for candidates for the position of director of the LNMM are a higher academic or second-level professional higher education in the humanities or social sciences, at least two years of work experience in a managerial position. Excellent knowledge of Latvian and good knowledge of English (at least C1 level for the state language, at least B1 level for oral communication skills in English according to the Europass language self-assessment table) is also required.
