Nike Sportswear Planning Lead: A Deep Dive into the Role

Nike is seeking a highly organized and analytical Lead Planner for its Sportswear (NSW) division. This key role within the North American (NA) NSW Planning team will focus on operational execution, planning consistency, and cross-functional alignment. The position reports to the Senior Director of NA NSW Planning and collaborates with teams across North America and globally.

Key Responsibilities

The NSW Planning Lead will be instrumental in supporting the programming cadence for NSW planning, managing Operating Plans, and facilitating Sport IBE (Integrated Business Planning) sessions. A core function of the role is ensuring process consistency across monthly and seasonal planning cycles. Specific responsibilities include:

• Supporting monthly Operating Planning activities.
• Facilitating Sport IBE sessions and managing the associated planning and programming schedule.
• Assisting with monthly and seasonal forecasting and franchise management.
• Consolidating and communicating key insights, risks, and opportunities, along with recommended actions.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive process consistency and operational excellence.
• Supporting the implementation and ongoing development of the Enterprise Business Planning (EBP) model.

Qualifications and Skills

Nike is looking for a results-oriented planner with a strong foundation in business planning, enterprise planning, or operations. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business planning, enterprise planning, operations, or a related field.
• Experience supporting forecasting, process management, and performance tracking.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across teams.
