Mentorship in Action: AFCEA Bonn and meet B(w)

Several organizations are actively promoting mentorship initiatives. AFCEA Bonn e.V. Has been fostering the development of young leaders through its mentoring program since 2022, connecting emerging talents with experienced professionals from various sectors, including the Bundeswehr, security agencies, and industry. This program aims to contribute to the modernization and digital transformation of Germany’s defense and security infrastructure.

meet B(w) is currently establishing a dedicated mentoring system for all women within the Bundeswehr, regardless of rank. This initiative acknowledges the unique challenges faced by women in a traditionally male-dominated environment and aims to provide them with the support and guidance needed to thrive. The first round of mentorship pairings began on January 1, 2026, with a mentor/mentee meeting scheduled for February 19-20, 2026, on the Winklmoosalm.
