The Legend of Khiimori: Immersive Open-World Adventure Launches on Steam and Epic Games Store March 3rd

Amstelveen, Netherlands and Munich, Germany – February 19, 2026 – Publisher Mindscape and developer Aesir Interactive are set to release the Early Access version of The Legend of Khiimori on March 3rd, 2026, for both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The full game is planned for release on PC and consoles.

A Soundscape Rooted in Mongolian Tradition

Music plays a central role in The Legend of Khiimori, drawing inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of 13th-century Mongolia. The game’s audio team is collaborating with the traditional Mongolian band Khukh Mongol and Zolzaya Boldbaatar, a master of the Morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle), to create an authentic and dynamic soundscape. The music will adapt to the diverse biomes players encounter, including steppes, deserts, and mountain peaks.

Explore 13th Century Mongolia as a Courier Rider

The Legend of Khiimori is a system-driven open-world adventure where players accept on the role of a courier rider in 13th-century Mongolia. Players will:

• Chart the Mongolian landscape while delivering packages and cargo.
• Plan delivery routes strategically to avoid dangers.
• Complete quests that test their abilities.
• Craft items like powder pouches and arrows for survival.
• Breed and train horses with specialized traits.
• Free corrupted zones from evil spirits.

Players will breed and train horses with specialized abilities to navigate the expansive Mongolian landscape. The game emphasizes the bond between horse and rider, offering a realistic equine gameplay experience developed on Unreal Engine 5.
