LG’s 2026 TV Lineup: QNED Takes Over, OLED Evolves and Micro RGB Debuts

LG has unveiled its 2026 television lineup, building on the success of its 2025 models – the B5, C5, and G5 OLED TVs, with the C5 previously lauded as the best TV for most consumers. The novel range features significant changes, including the discontinuation of the NanoCell series and advancements in both QNED and OLED technologies, alongside the introduction of a new Micro RGB TV.

QNED Series Gets a Boost with Mini LED

A major shift for LG in 2026 is the elimination of its entry-level NanoCell TV series. QNED technology now serves as the gateway into LG’s TV offerings. All QNED TVs will now incorporate Mini LED backlighting, a move expected to improve brightness and contrast compared to previous edge-lit models. Early observations of the QNED81 in 2024 indicated good color production but limitations in brightness; the transition to Mini LED aims to address this.

OLED Continues to Shine with New Technologies

LG’s flagship G6 OLED TV introduces the Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 display panel, an evolution of the technology used in the G5. This enhancement is coupled with Hyper Radiant Color technology, designed to improve brightness, color, and contrast. The G6 too features a Brightness Booster Ultra, promising a 20% increase in brightness over the G5, and an upgraded anti-reflective coating, reducing screen reflectance to below 0.5%.

Testing by UK-based colleagues demonstrated improved reflection handling compared to the G5, while maintaining excellent black levels when compared to Samsung’s S95F.

C6 OLED: Two Versions with Varying Panel Technology

The popular mid-tier C6 OLED model will be available in two versions. One will utilize the Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 panel found in the G6, while the other will retain the WOLED panel from previous C-series TVs. In Australia, the C6 name will be used for both versions, with larger models (77-inch and 83-inch) benefiting from the upgraded OLED panel. The primary difference between the C6 and G6 lies in the anti-reflective coating, with the C6 receiving an inferior variant.

Both C6 versions and the G6 will feature the Alpha 11 Gen 3 AI processor, promising significant improvements in picture quality, including upscaling. Previously exclusive to the G-series, the inclusion of this processor in the C-series is a notable upgrade.

LG’s First Micro RGB TV: MRGB96

LG also showcased its Micro RGB TV, the MRGB96, available in 75-, 86-, and 100-inch sizes, with prices starting at AU$7,999. LG highlights the MRGB96’s ability to cover 100% of the BT.2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB color spaces.

Pricing and Availability

LG has maintained consistent launch prices for its OLED TVs compared to the previous year. The 97-inch G6 OLED has seen a price reduction to AU$29,999, down from AU$39,999 for the 97-inch G5.
