LG and Samsung Push Boundaries with New RGB LED TVs

Cancel any outdoor plans for next year as LG is releasing a flagship RGB LED TV in 2026. the new MRGB95B TV will feature an upgraded processor and a brighter panel, achieving 100 percent coverage of BT.2020,DCI-P3,and Adobe RGB color gamuts. This translates to incredibly accurate color reproduction. Notably, this new model will be available in a range of screen sizes, from a massive 100 inches to a more accessible 75 inches, potentially making it a viable option for many consumers.

RGB LEDs enable brighter displays with more accurate color, differing from micro LED displays where each pixel is self-emissive. RGB LED technology utilizes clusters of red, green, and blue LEDs to illuminate multiple pixels together. It represents the next advancement in TV display color accuracy, building upon the popularity of quantum dot displays over the past several years.

Samsung Teases new Micro RGB TVs

Samsung is also entering the RGB LED arena,with Micro RGB TVs launching in 2026, ranging in size from 55 to 115 inches. These new models represent the smallest RGB LED screen sizes announced to date.
