Lindsey Heaps Launches “The Captain” Podcast with Men in Blazers Media Network
USWNT captain Lindsey Heaps is expanding her media presence with the launch of a latest monthly podcast, “The Captain with Lindsey Heaps,” in partnership with the Men in Blazers Media Network (MiBMN). The show will premiere on Wednesday, March 25, and will be available on @WomensGameMiB’s YouTube channel and meninblazers.com.
Exploring Heaps’ Career and the World of Women’s Soccer
Co-hosted with former USWNT teammate Sam Mewis, “The Captain” will delve into Heaps’s illustrious career, share stories from across the landscape of women’s soccer, and provide insights into her recent move from OL Lyonnes to the NWSL’s Denver Summit FC. According to Heaps, the podcast is a platform to “reflect on my own career, highlight incredible talent changing the game, and dig into defining moments that show what it really takes to lead and grow as a player.”
A Celebrated Career
Lindsey Heaps has established herself as a prominent figure in women’s soccer, contributing to significant team achievements. She was a member of the 2019 USWNT team that won the Women’s World Cup and captained the Olympic Gold Medal-winning USWNT team in 2024. Individually, she was recognized as the US Soccer Female Player of the Year in 2021.
Joining Denver Summit FC
Heaps’s return to the NWSL with Denver Summit FC marks a significant moment for the expansion team. She signed a four-year deal with the Summit, extending through 2029, after completing her contract with French club Lyon. The Summit will make its home debut on Saturday at Empower Field.
