The man suspected of the murder of Lisa from Abcoude, the rape of a woman, and the attempted rape of another woman, has confessed to all three facts. The public prosecutor said this in a second pro forma hearing.
During previous interrogations, the 23-year-old suspect said he did not remember anything about the incidents. At the end of January he stated that it was because he was afraid to talk about the cases.
The man was interviewed extensively on February 5 and 6. According to the justice department, he made a full confession. He repeated that confession today during the hearing, when the judge asked him about it.
The man has confessed that he killed 17-year-old Lisa in Duivendrecht on August 20. He also admitted to having raped a woman in Amsterdam on August 15.

A third confession concerned the attempted rape and serious assault of another woman. That incident took place on August 10, and was added to the suspicions against Chris Jude last week.
During the hearing, the prosecutor shared details about the attempted rape and serious assault. According to her, the incident room initially picked up the report as a robbery.
The victim was on her way home to Amsterdam that day, but because she had to wait a long time for the bus, she decided to walk a bit. She was grabbed at the intersection between Kruislaan and Weesperzijde and thrown to the ground. The suspect lay on top of her. “That’s when the woman realizes, maybe I’m going to get raped,” the officer said.
According to the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect said “don’t scream“, but the woman did. “A cyclist stops and gets into an altercation with the suspect. The woman therefore sees a moment to get up, but receives a hard punch in the face, causing her to fall again. When two more bystanders approach the incident, the suspect quickly runs away.” The victim was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
The victim of the attempted rape was present at the hearing today, as was the victim in the first rape case.
Chris Jude
The suspect has given the name Chris Jude and that name is also being used by the authorities. Previously, his actual name was unknown. According to justice, he was given the name Chris Jude by his parents.
The investigation into the identity of the suspect shows that, contrary to what he previously indicated, Chris Jude does have family. He also has contact with them. According to the public prosecutor, the information that he grew up in orphanages is incorrect or incomplete.
Chris Jude is expected to be examined at the Pieter Baan Center in March. In his statements, he said he heard voices telling him to rape someone, and later that he should kill “a girl.” He said he has been hearing voices since childhood. The voices also told him to kill himself.
Accountable or not
The suspect’s lawyers emphasized that Chris Jude will cooperate with all police investigations. According to them, it is “evident” that the suspect is impaired or not accountable.
The lawyer for one of the victims said he thought it was a shame that the defense referred to it that way. “Let’s wait for the investigations,” she said to NOS.
Detention extended
The next hearing in the case is on April 30. The court has decided that Chris Jude’s pre-trial detention has been extended until at least the next hearing.
