Livvy Dunne Lands Role in Fox’s ‘Baywatch’ Reboot

Former collegiate gymnast and social media personality Livvy Dunne is set to make her professional acting debut in the upcoming reboot of the classic television series Baywatch, airing on Fox. Dunne will play Grace, a highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard, in a recurring role.

From Gymnastics to the Screen

The casting marks a significant transition for Dunne, who recently retired from competitive gymnastics in April 2025 after a successful career at Louisiana State University (LSU). Prior to accepting the role, Dunne had been taking acting lessons, signaling her intention to pursue a career in film and television. She boasts over 15 million followers across various social media platforms.

‘Baywatch’ 2.0: A New Generation of Lifeguards

Fox’s Baywatch reboot, scheduled to premiere during the 2026-2027 television season, features a cast that includes Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon, the son of the original series’ Mitch Buchannon. Other cast members include Shay Mitchell, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Brooks Nader, Noah Beck, and David Chokachi, who reprises his role as Cody Madison from the original series.

The series centers on Hobie Buchannon, a “wild-child” who takes on the role of Baywatch Captain, following in his father’s footsteps. The storyline is further complicated by the arrival of Hobie’s daughter, Charlie, who is eager to continue the Buchannon family legacy.
