firminy Drug Bust: Two Young Men Arrested in Connection with Cocaine and Cannabis Resin Trafficking
Firminy, France – A persistent drug dealing location at Place du Mail in Firminy has once again been the focus of police attention, resulting in the arrest of two individuals from La Ricamarie. Despite previous police intervention and dismantling of the operation nearly a year ago, attempts to reactivate the drug trade have continued for months.
Recent Arrests and Seizures
On Febuary 9th, agents from the anti-crime brigade made an initial arrest of an individual in possession of cocaine, resulting in a fixed fine. The following day, officers from the specialized field brigade of the Ondaine police district arrested another buyer at the same location, who was given a free hearing.
The examination later led to the arrest of the alleged sellers: two young men, aged 16 and 18, both residents of La Ricamarie. During the arrests, police seized approximately twenty bottles of cocaine, nearly ten bars of cannabis resin, and around 150 euros in cash.
Legal Proceedings
the two suspects will face legal consequences in the coming weeks. The 16-year-old will be summoned before the juvenile judge, while the 18-year-old will appear before the general justice services. Both will be charged with offering, transferring, and possessing narcotics.
This latest operation highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the Firminy area and underscores the challenges of dismantling established drug dealing networks.
