The London Knights secured a 7-4 victory over the visiting Owen Sound Attack on Friday night at Canada Life Place, improving their record to 3-0. Cohen Bidgood, Carson Harmer, and Ryan Brown each recorded three points to lead the Knights’ offensive output.
Offensive Leaders and Notable Debuts
Bidgood tallied one goal and two assists, Harmer contributed a goal and two assists, and Brown added three assists in the win. Evan Van Gorp scored twice on five shots, while Cody Wood finished the game with a plus-four rating without recording a point. Marcus Nordmark, a Swedish forward and first-round draft pick of the Anaheim Ducks, made his debut for the Knights and recorded 10 shots on goal.
For the Attack, Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Harry Nansi registered two goals and an assist. The 19-year-old finished last season with 56 points in 67 games. Attack captain Pierce Mbuyi picked up one assist and finished the night with a minus-three rating.
Goaltending Performance and Team Status
Brian Cooke earned the victory in net for London, stopping 22 of 26 shots. Cooke previously won a road game against Windsor on Saturday night. Charlie Weiss served as the backup goaltender. Ryerson Leenders took the loss for Owen Sound, allowing six goals on 40 shots. Leenders, a seventh-round draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres, played last season in Brantford and recorded 25 wins for the Bulldogs.
Despite missing several expected top players who remain at NHL camps—including goaltender Alexei Medvedev (Canucks)—the Knights maintained their undefeated record. Friday’s contest marked London’s first game in six days. The team’s next scheduled matchup is at home against North Bay.
