LOVB Austin Secures Victory Over Salt Lake in Four Sets
AUSTIN, Texas – February 25, 2026 – LOVB Austin Volleyball defeated LOVB Salt Lake in a four-set match at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park Wednesday night, winning 25–17, 19–25, 25–16, 25–19. The win improves Austin’s season record to 7–6.
Match Highlights
Austin Head Coach Erik Sullivan emphasized the team’s focus on a strong second half of the season. “We talked about a reset in the second half of the season,” Sullivan said. “There was a lot of talk about having intensity and urgency … and this was a great way to start that off. I’m really happy with how we competed and played.”
Austin started strong, with outside hitter Logan Eggleston scoring the opening point and leading the team to a dominant first-set victory. The team hit .667 in the first frame, led by Bella Bergmark (four kills on four attempts) and Eggleston (five kills on six attempts).
Salt Lake responded in the second set, creating separation midway through and winning 25-19 despite Austin’s comeback attempts.
Austin regained control in the third set, winning 25-16 and continued their momentum into the fourth set.
The fourth set was closely contested, but Austin pulled ahead late to secure the set 25-19 and clinch the match.
Player Performances
Logan Eggleston was named Player of the Match after leading the team with 19 points, recording 18 kills and an ace, along with nine digs. Asjia O’Neal contributed 15 points with 10 kills, three aces, and two blocks. Madisen Skinner added 13 points on 12 kills, a block, and 11 digs, while Bella Bergmark scored 11 points with eight kills and three blocks.
Brie O’Reilly directed the offense with 49 assists and added 13 digs and two blocks. Austin finished the night hitting .321 as a team, totaling 68 points on 55 kills, with eight blocks and 62 digs.
