LSU head coach Brian Kiffin has aggressively addressed the team’s needs through the transfer portal, securing commitments from 25 players, including a significant influx of wide receivers to bolster the offense for incoming quarterback commit, Landen Clark. The quarterback situation was further clarified as several players made decisions regarding their future.
Clark, a transfer from Elon, committed to LSU on Sunday, filling a critical need after the departure of returning scholarship quarterbacks Jayden Daniels, Garrett Nussmeier, adn the transfer portal exits of Walker Howard and Colin Hurley.
LSU’s receiving corps is undergoing a major overhaul with nine new additions.Key transfers include Winston Watkins (Ole Miss), Jayce Brown (Kansas State), and eugene Wilson III (Florida). These additions are expected to provide immediate impact and depth for the Tigers’ passing attack.
Meanwhile, washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. initially entered the transfer portal but ultimately decided to remain with the Huskies. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss announced his intention to return in 2026, pending an NCAA waiver for an additional year of eligibility, though his initial request was denied.
