Google’s Lyria 3 Pro Ushers in a New Era of AI-Powered Music Creation
Google has launched Lyria 3 Pro, its most advanced AI music generation model, offering extended track lengths and enhanced creative control for musicians, developers, and businesses. The new model, now in public preview on Vertex AI, allows for the creation of tracks up to 3 minutes long, with a deeper understanding of musical composition, including elements like intros, verses, choruses, and bridges. This advancement builds upon the release of Lyria 3 last month, expanding access to AI-driven music generation across various Google products.
Expanding Access to AI Music Generation
Lyria 3 Pro is now available through several key Google platforms:
- Vertex AI: Available in public preview, Lyria 3 Pro enables businesses to scale high-fidelity audio production for applications like game soundtracks and integration into creative tools, and platforms. Vertex AI

Notable collaborations include Grammy Award-winning producer Yung Spielburg, who utilized Lyria in the creation of the film score for Google DeepMind’s short film ‘Dear Upstairs Neighbors’, and legendary DJ and producer François K, who is currently integrating Lyria into his music production process.

Google prioritizes responsible AI development with Lyria 3, utilizing only licensed data and implementing safeguards to protect artistic expression. The model is designed to avoid replicating the style of specific artists and includes filtering systems to ensure compliance with intellectual property rights and privacy regulations. All Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro outputs are embedded with an invisible watermark powered by SynthID to identify AI-generated content.
