Central Michigan’s Luciana Alvarado-Reid Earns MAC Gymnast of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND – Central Michigan University senior gymnast Luciana Alvarado-Reid has been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Gymnast of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 . Her performance was instrumental in the Chippewas’ victory over Kent State last Friday.

Dominating Performance Against Kent State

Alvarado-Reid secured titles in the beam, floor, and all-around competitions against Kent State, contributing to Central Michigan’s 196.075-196.000 win . She achieved a score of 9.900 on both the beam and floor exercises.

Career Achievements and Rankings

This recognition marks Alvarado-Reid’s third MAC Gymnast of the Week award this season. Throughout her career at Central Michigan, she has accumulated seven beam titles, 13 floor titles, and 23 all-around titles .

In addition to her event titles, Alvarado-Reid scored 9.850 on bars and 9.750 on vault, totaling 39.400 in the all-around.

As of February 17, 2026, Alvarado-Reid holds the top ranking in the MAC on bars, all-around, and floor. Nationally, she is ranked 21st on bars, 24th in the all-around, and 28th on floor , making her the highest-ranked MAC gymnast in all three disciplines.
