Mads Mikkelsen to Headline Comic-Con Prague 2026

Mads Mikkelsen, the acclaimed Danish actor known for his roles in Casino Royale, Doctor Strange, and the Fantastic Beasts franchise, will be a featured guest at Comic-Con Prague 2026. The event is scheduled to take place from March 13th to 15th at the O2 universe in Prague.

Comic-Con Prague offers attendees the opportunity to meet film stars and comic legends. Guests can participate in Q&A sessions, photo opportunities, and autograph signings with their favorite celebrities. A photo or autograph with Mikkelsen will cost 2,990 Czech crowns, according to organizers Comic-Con Prague.

Mikkelsen’s Current Projects and Career Highlights

Currently, Mikkelsen is filming What Happens at Night in the Czech Republic, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, directed by Martin Scorsese.

Mikkelsen began his career as a professional dancer before transitioning to acting in the mid-1990s. He gained initial recognition in Scandinavia for his role in the TV series Rejseholdet (2000-2004), which also received an Emmy Award. He subsequently appeared in films such as King Arthur and Casino Royale, where he played the villain Le Chiffre.

His notable filmography includes roles in Doctor Strange, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Fantastic Beasts, taking over the role of Gellert Grindelwald from Johnny Depp. He also portrayed Nazi astrophysicist Jürgen Voller in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and is known for his portrayal of Hannibal Lecter in the TV series Hannibal.

Beyond live-action roles, Mikkelsen has also lent his voice to video games, including Cliff Unger in Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding (2019).
