Magalas Teams Qualify for Hérault Championship in Pétanque Competition

Magalas, a commune in the Hérault department of southern France, saw strong participation and success in recent pétanque qualifying rounds. The sector qualifiers, held in nearby Bassan, drew 87 teams vying for nine spots in the Hérault championship. The Magalas club was well-represented, entering 10 teams into the competition.

Local Club Performance

Four teams from the Magalas club successfully advanced from the group stages, while two were eliminated during the qualifying phase. In the women’s doubles category, 44 teams competed for 14 qualifying places. The Magalas club entered four teams, with two securing their place in the Hérault championship.

Next Steps for Qualifying Teams

Laure, Marie, Jacqueline, and Renée will represent the Magalas club at the next stage of the championship, scheduled for Saturday, March 28, in Mudaison.
