Man Dies After Jump from South Jakarta Mall

A man died Sunday, March 8, 2026, after jumping from the third floor of a mall in South Jakarta, Indonesia. The incident occurred at approximately 1:03 PM WIB (Western Indonesia Time).

According to Kebayoran Lama Police Chief Commissioner Muhammad Kukuh Islami, the man was transported to Fatmawati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Tempo.co reported on a similar incident in South Jakarta in April 2025, highlighting the importance of mental health resources.

Kombes Budi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, stated that the case is currently under investigation by the Kebayoran Lama Police. Authorities are working to determine the chronology and cause of the incident.

As of this publication, mall management has not released a statement regarding the incident.
