Man Slashes Tires of Dozens of Cars Across Sofia Districts

Dozens of cars have had their tires slashed in several districts of Sofia, Bulgaria, including Motopista, Gotse Delchev, and Strelbishte. Video footage shows a man calmly walking the streets and damaging vehicles. As of December 18, 2025, police have received at least 30 complaints related to the incidents.
Tire Slashing Spree Reported in Multiple Districts
Residents in the Velik neighborhood first noticed the damage, with one resident reporting a flat rear right tire. “We fixed it, but it’s just an inconvenience and a waste of money. You can see that the perpetrator passes by, cuts the tire with a dummy knife or something else sharp and leaves,” the resident told Nova TV.
Neighbor Nikola obtained video recordings from local security cameras and presented them to the 4th police station.Authorities confirmed they are investigating numerous similar complaints from the neighboring districts of Gotse Delchev and Strelbishte.
Examination Underway
police are currently investigating the incidents and attempting to identify the perpetrator. The motive behind the tire slashing remains unknown.The number of affected vehicles is expected to rise as more reports are filed.
