Man Charged in Connection with Crossmaglen Cannabis Farm Discovery
Crossmaglen,Northern Ireland – A 28-year-old man has been formally charged following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation operation in the Lismore area of Crossmaglen on Friday. Police have presented the man too court on multiple charges related to the illegal cultivation and supply of cannabis.
The charges include cultivating cannabis, being concerned in the supply of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, and simple possession of a Class B controlled drug. He is scheduled to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court for a hearing.
Authorities confirmed that the Public Prosecution Service will review the charges as per standard procedure. This review will determine the progression of the case and ensure adherence to legal guidelines.
A second man, aged 27, who was also arrested in connection with the inquiry on Friday, remains in police custody as of today. Further inquiries are ongoing, and investigators are continuing to gather evidence.
