Margaret Smyth: Remembering a Life Lived in Monaghan
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret Smyth, of Corsillago, Lisnalong, Monaghan. Margaret passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10th, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Born to the late Tommy and Mary Smyth, Margaret will be fondly remembered as a cherished member of the Cootehill and Ballybay communities. Her loss is deeply felt by all who knew her.
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Ballybay (Eircode A75 RH96) on Sunday, January 11th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, will provide an opportunity for friends and neighbors to pay their respects.
The removal of Margaret’s remains will take place from her home on Monday morning, proceeding to Saint Michael’s Church, Cootehill, for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Following the Mass, Margaret will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
Donations and Condolences
in lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations, if desired, to Cootehill First Responders. Donations can be made through Smyth Funeral directors in Ballybay or directly to any family member.
The family appreciates the outpouring of support during this difficult time and asks that their privacy be respected with a strictly private home.
For those who wish to express their condolences or share cherished memories, a dedicated space has been provided online. Messages of sympathy will be moderated and approved before appearing, and identifiable personal facts will be removed for privacy. A condolence book will also be available to the family through the funeral director upon request.
Please note that condolences will be held on this page for a period of six months.
