Maria Tsantsarova Confirms Removal from bTVS “this Morning”

Maria tsantsarova has confirmed she’s “taken off the air.” The journalist, and until recently the host of bTV’s morning block, stated in a Facebook post that reports of her removal are true. It’s a surprising change for viewers.

She didn’t appear on “This Morning” on Monday,December 22,and neither did co-host Zlatimir Yochev. Rosen Tsvetkov opened the broadcast, announcing he and reporter Gergana Venkova would alternate hosting duties for the next two weeks. It felt like a shift in the show’s dynamic.

“Presenter Zlatimir yochev is on a long-planned Christmas vacation,” Tsvetkov said. However, no reason was given for Tsantsarova’s absence. Her name wasn’t even mentioned. That omission raised eyebrows.

bTV later published holiday hosting information on its website. Rosen Tsvetkov will host through December 29, and gergana Venkova will take over until January 2, 2026. Notably,Zlatimir Yochev and Maria Tsantsarova weren’t included in the announcement. It’s clear something’s changed.

“My last words as the host of the morning block on Friday were: ‘See you on monday.’ I apologize, dear viewers, I’ve always been careful not to make mistakes when speaking to you from the screen. Then, first I, then colleagues in the newsroom, heard that this time I was wrong: ‘Maria has been removed from the morning block.’ I always tried to ensure viewers of the morning block heard critically important news if it wasn’t covered on the evening news. This morning it didn’t happen like that, so with gratitude to everyone who recognized themselves in me and didn’t keep silent during thes days, I want to say – everything is true, only against my name we have to add “taken off the air” Tsantsarova wrote shortly after Monday’s broadcast. She expressed gratitude to her viewers.

Unofficial information began circulating on Friday, December 19, suggesting a change was coming to the morning show. Now, Tsantsarova’s confirmation makes the situation official.
