Manor College Honors Mark and Ann Baiada at 2026 Gala
Mark and Ann Baiada will be recognized as the 2026 Evening with Manor Gala honorees on Thursday, November 12, Manor College announced.
Founding BAYADA and BAYADAbility
Back in 1975, Mark Baiada founded BAYADA Home Health Care with the guiding purpose of enabling individuals to experience comfort, independence, dignity, and safety in their own homes. Today, the nonprofit entity reaches 40,000 clients on a weekly basis through a network exceeding 380 offices located across 22 U.S. states and various international sites. In 1998, Ann Claffey Baiada founded BAYADAbility Rehab Solutions, the first and only home health care rehabilitation nursing program.
Supporting the Practical Nursing Program
The couple has maintained a steady presence at Manor College over recent years, playing an integral role in the institution’s Practical Nursing program. Dr. Jonathan Peri, Manor College President, noted that the Baiadas’ involvement helped to launch the curriculum, which is now the second most applied-for program at Manor College. Beyond their involvement, the couple donated a pair of state-of-the-art patient simulator mannequins for the institution’s skills lab and contributed to the Student Aid and Food Emergency (SAFE) Fund that provides groceries and other support to students.
Reflections on Nursing Education and Service
Mark and Ann Baiada also served as Commencement Orators during the college’s graduation ceremony in May. “When we visited the skills lab and met the students, we could see their determination and their potential,” he stated. “The world needs good nurses, and these students are answering that call.” The upcoming gala event will take place within the Manor College library.
