Logan Paul Advances to Elimination Chamber After SmackDown Win
Louisville, KY – Logan Paul secured a spot in the Elimination Chamber match, defeating Jacob Fatu in the main event of Friday’s WWE SmackDown. The match was set up after Jey Uso was removed from the competition due to an attack, with Paul and Fatu vying for his place.
The Road to the Match
The unexpected change came as a result of Bronson Reed’s injury on Monday’s Raw, where he suffered a torn bicep. Reed was originally slated to win his qualifying match, leading WWE to find a replacement for Uso in the Elimination Chamber lineup. The mystery surrounding Uso’s attacker led to Paul and Fatu pleading their cases for a chance to compete for the coveted spot.
Controversial Finish
During the match, an unidentified masked man interfered, attacking Austin Theory at ringside. Paul subsequently attacked the masked individual and removed the mask, revealing independent wrestler Don Furio. The finish was further complicated by the involvement of Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who interfered to help Paul secure the win by hitting Fatu with the championship belt.
Who is Don Furio?
Don Furio has trained at both Seth Rollins’ Black and Brave Wrestling Academy in Davenport, Iowa, and QT Marshall and Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Factory in Norcross, Georgia. He has prior experience in major wrestling promotions, including an appearance on NXT in 2025 alongside Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and a match on AEW Dark in 2022.
Elimination Chamber Lineup
With Paul’s victory, the lineup for the Elimination Chamber match is now complete. Further details regarding the match and the other competitors have not been released as of February 28, 2026.
