MatchWornShirt Expands US Presence with MLS and Clippers Partnerships
MatchWornShirt, an international online memorabilia auction platform, has significantly expanded its presence in the US market through new partnerships with Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Los Angeles Clippers. These multi-year licensing deals will provide fans with exclusive access to authentic, signed jerseys and other memorabilia.
MLS Partnership Details
The agreement with MLS and the MLS Players Association (MLSPA) will see MatchWornShirt host digital auctions for match-worn, signed jerseys from all 30 MLS teams. Auctions will initiate at kickoff during regular-season games, postseason MLS Cup playoff fixtures, and the annual MLS All-Star game. Teams will be gradually added to the platform, with full league representation expected shortly. GMA Network reports that the Clippers are the first team to be fully represented.
Los Angeles Clippers Collaboration
The Clippers’ inaugural live auction took place on March 9, 2026, following their 126-118 victory over the New York Knicks. Jerseys worn by Kawhi Leonard, Bennedict Mathurin, and Darius Garland were featured in the auction. The Associated Press noted that as of March 13, 2026, Leonard’s jersey was commanding bids over $2,000, even as Mathurin and Garland’s jerseys were around the $594 mark.
MatchWornShirt’s Growing Portfolio
This expansion builds on MatchWornShirt’s existing partnerships in the US, including a similar deal with the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). The company also brokered the MLS deal in part through OneTeam partners, the MLSPA’s commercial agency. CBS Sports confirms these recent developments.
