Matt Lyons, a former middle school teacher turned social media comedian known for mocking New England outdoors culture, traded the classroom for the New Hampshire wilderness to record an episode of the Outside Podcast at Postcard Cabins Blake Brook, outsideonline.com reported.
From Classroom to Comedy in the New Hampshire Woods
Lyons built an online following of millions by poking fun at regional outdoor stereotypes. His sketches target hikers, bikers, surfers, and skiers who insist that no matter where someone is in the world, they are missing out if they are not doing it in New England. He draws directly from his own background, which includes an Appalachian Trail thru-hike and regular weekend getaways from Boston to the wilderness of New Hampshire.
The Outside Podcast brought Lyons to Postcard Cabins Blake Brook, located about 90 minutes from Boston. The property sits within the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, a portfolio of nature-immersed accommodations designed to blend rustic landscapes with amenities like hot showers and beds.
