Maya Hawke Announces Recent Album ‘Maitreya Corso’ and Spring 2026 US Tour
Singer-songwriter and actress Maya Hawke has announced her fourth studio album, Maitreya Corso, set for release on May 1st via Mom + Pop. Alongside the album announcement, Hawke shared the first single, “Devil You Know,” and unveiled dates for a spring 2026 US tour.
About ‘Maitreya Corso’
Maitreya Corso was written and produced with frequent collaborators Christian Lee Hutson, Benjamin Lazar Davis, and Jonathan Low. Hawke describes the album’s central character, Maitreya Corso, as a “magical misfit” whose inability to conform allows for self-creation and exploration of the ego’s power, both positive and negative.
“‘Devil You Know’ is about trying to keep ambition and greed out of the creative process,” Hawke stated in a press release. “This album generally is about learning to protect the precious from the poisonous. Protect creation from pride. Protect love from control. Protect collaboration from jealousy.” [AltPress]
The album was recorded in New York City and Woodstock, New York, during the fall and winter of 2025. [AltPress] It builds upon Hawke’s previous collaboration with Christian Lee Hutson, following her 2024 album, Chaos Angel. [BroadwayWorld]
