Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson Marry in Surprise Valentine’s Day Ceremony

Stranger Things actress Maya Hawke and musician Christian Lee Hutson have tied the knot in a surprise Valentine’s Day wedding. The ceremony took place on Saturday, February 14, in Novel York City, according to People.

A Valentine’s Day Nuptial

Hawke, 27, wore a white wedding dress with a ball gown silhouette and a lace veil, completing the look with a feathery white coat. Hutson, 35, opted for a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt and vest, accented by a floral boutonniere. Photos of the event were obtained by People.

Family and Friends in Attendance

The wedding was attended by Hawke’s parents, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, who were married from 1998 to 2005. Thurman wore a baby blue floor-length dress, while Ethan Hawke sported an all-black suit, reportedly clutching his daughter’s bouquet as reported by E! News.

Several of Hawke’s Stranger Things co-stars were also present, including Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink and Finn Wolfhard according to People.

From Friends to Spouses

Hawke and Hutson were friends for four years before becoming romantically involved while working on Hawke’s 2024 album, Chaos Angel. Hawke previously shared her advice on dating friends, stating, “recommend highly enough dating your friends. It’s the best. They realize you, they understand that you’re a person and a human being that has dated other people who has dated them. Who has feelings and is a living, breathing human not just like a piece of paper to project image of perfect girlfriend onto,” as E! News reported.

Hutson subtly confirmed their engagement in March 2024 while discussing his song “Carousel Horses” from his album, referring to Hawke as his “fiancée” according to E! News.
