The founder of the investment company Concorde Capital, Igor Mazepa, hit a pedestrian in the Zhytomyr region on the evening of February 9; the businessman said that he was cooperating with the investigation.

Details: According to the police, trafficthe incident occurred the day before at about 19:30 on the 204th kilometer of the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the village of Kamenny Maidan, Zvyagel district.

It was previously established that the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, a 49-year-old resident of Kiev (Mazepa – ed.), was moving in the direction of the city of Zhitomir. On an unlit section of the road, he hit a 60-year-old community resident who was crossing the roadway.
Unfortunately, as a result of the accident, the pedestrian died on the way to the hospital.

GUNP investigators in the Zhytomyr region began a pre-trial investigation under Part 2 of Art. 286 (Violation of road safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. “The establishment of all the causes and circumstances of the incident continues.”
Mazepa’s direct speech: “In order to prevent possible insinuations, I inform you that I was not tired, did not use any substances prohibited for drivers, which was confirmed by an on-site medical examination, and did not violate any traffic rules.
