MBG Car Driver Beats 15 Residents in Kebumen Incident

A car driver from the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Kebumen, Ajiz Setyo Wihantoro (39), was arrested by the police after crashing into a school fence and causing a tantrum among residents. Ajiz was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Ajiz’s act of arrogance occurred on Friday 2/96/2026) afternoon. At that time, the man, a resident of Karangsambung Village, Karanggayam District, was driving an MBG car and crashed into the gate of Clapar Elementary School, Karanggayam District and a talud.

It is known that Ajiz brought the car outside MBG delivery hours and for personal purposes.

“It’s psychological, because he’s drunk. It’s true that the driver of the Wonotirto kitchen MBG, Karanggayam District. The purpose of using the car was outside of work hours, he said it was used for personal gain. The direction was from Clapar Village towards Gebangan,” said Acting Karanggayam Police Chief, Ipda Samun when contacted detikJatengSaturday (7/2/2026).

Samun explained that after the incident, residents tried to get closer and wanted to help the perpetrator. However, instead of accepting the help of the residents, Ajiz became emotional and raged at the residents blindly.

Residents also reported the incident to the police. A number of police personnel immediately rushed to the scene and arrested the perpetrator.

“At that time the residents wanted to help, but because the person concerned was psychologically unstable, he went on a rampage at local residents blindly. Then we took him to the Karanggayam Police,” he explained.

At the time of the incident the school was empty. Even though there were no victims from the school, dozens of residents became victims of the perpetrator’s rampage.

“None of the victims were seriously injured, around 15 people were injured by clubs and were hit by blows. There were no victims at the time of the crash. This was a victim from a resident who wanted to help, he got out of the car and instead went berserk at local residents. The elementary school was empty because of the incident at around 17.00 WIB,” he said.

Reckless driver

Before the incident occurred, local residents had observed the driver driving the car recklessly. Arriving at the scene, the car drove out of control until it hit the elementary school gate fence and the embankment.

“It was observed that the driver was driving the car recklessly. When he arrived at the crime scene, he went up a bit and then turned, then he got out of control and crashed into the elementary school gate fence. After that, the car broke a tire, swerved again and hit the wall of the embankment in front of the elementary school,” he concluded.
