Qualifications

  • Eligibility to sit for the exam and obtain certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through a Penn State Health-approved agency within 90 days of employment, or current active certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through an approved agency.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months of the employment date.

Preferred qualifications include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program and previous outpatient experience.
