Key Responsibilities:
* Scientific Dialog: Educate healthcare stakeholders on clinical data, disease state understanding, and the value of Amgen’s treatments.
* Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other influential healthcare professionals.
* insight Gathering: Collect and relay field observations and insights to internal teams (sales, marketing, research).
* Medical Expertise: Maintain a high level of clinical knowledge in TED and related areas, staying current with the latest research.
* Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to MSL compliance standards.
* Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Training & Support: Support speaker training and possibly mentor new hires.
* Local Plan execution: Develop and implement local Operational Plans (OL plans) as needed.
* Research Support: Liaise with potential investigators for non-sponsored clinical research.
Qualifications:
* Education: Doctoral Degree (PhD) or Master’s Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related science.
* Experience: 5+ years of industry experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
* Skills: Strong scientific communication skills, ability to engage with KOLs, adaptability to new therapeutic areas, and a proactive approach to learning.
Ideal Candidate (Preferred):
* Therapeutic Area expertise: Experience in rare diseases, immunology, endocrinology, or ophthalmology.
* Medical Affairs Experience: Prior experience within a medical affairs department.
* Advancement Focus: Demonstrated commitment to a Medical Affairs career path.
