Jakarta Ceremony Unites Families
Indonesian musician Melly Goeslaw and politician Bambang Soesatyo are officially set to become in-laws.
The formal engagement ceremony took place in Jakarta on Saturday, September 26, 2026. It brought together both families in a private setting to unite Abe Hoed—the son of Melly Goeslaw—and Belliza Shintya Puteri (Bella), the daughter of Bambang Soesatyo and Lenny.
Public Gratitude From Melly Goeslaw
In a video message released to media outlets on Sunday, September 27, 2026, Melly Goeslaw expressed her gratitude for the public support surrounding her son’s milestone.
"I want to express my deepest gratitude for the prayers and support for my son’s engagement, the man named Hoed who is usually called Abe," Melly Goeslaw stated in her video statement.
"He has officially proposed to Bella. So, God willing, Alhamdulillah, Pak Bambang Soesatyo, Ibu Lenny, and I will become in-laws."
December Wedding Preparations Underway
Following the September engagement, the families are moving forward.
Melly confirmed that the wedding ceremony and reception are scheduled for December 2026. However, the exact dates for the akad nikah and reception have not yet been finalized and will be announced at a later date.
Master’s Degree Studies Planned for Early 2027
Alongside wedding preparations, the couple is planning an educational milestone.
According to Melly Goeslaw, both Abe and Bella intend to pursue their Master’s degrees (S2) starting in early 2027.
"As parents, we are very grateful because we have guided our children to this point, and God willing, early next year, they will begin their S2 studies," Melly said.
She concluded by asking the public and media for continued prayers for a smooth wedding day and academic success for the couple.
