The Memphis Grizzlies have advanced to the 2026 NBA Summer League championship game following a 101–90 victory over the Houston Rockets on Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Grizzlies Secure Championship Berth
Memphis dominated the semifinal matchup, leading by as many as 22 points in the first half.
Cedric Coward led the Memphis effort with 28 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Memphis capitalized on second-chance opportunities, outrebounding Houston 47–35 and maintaining a lead throughout the second, third, and fourth quarters.
Houston Rockets Semifinal Performance
Despite the loss, the Rockets saw a strong individual performance from Quadir Copeland, who recorded 24 points and four rebounds. Cameron Boozer, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, added 12 points and 12 rebounds in 33 minutes of play.
Houston’s inability to stop the Grizzlies’ transition offense, which generated 20 fast-break points, ultimately prevented a late-game comeback.
