Colorado State Basketball Players Recognized with All-Mountain West Honors

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Colorado State men’s basketball saw two players honored by the Mountain West Conference on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Jevin Muniz was named to the All-Mountain West Third Team, while Brandon Rechsteiner received an honorable mention.

First All-Conference Recognition for Both Players

This marks the first time both Muniz and Rechsteiner have earned All-Mountain West recognition in their careers.

Jevin Muniz: Leading the Mountain West in Assists

Jevin Muniz, a senior, averaged 10.3 points, 4.9 assists and 3.7 rebounds during conference play. He led the Mountain West in total assists. Muniz recorded nine games with five or more assists, including a season-high of 10 assists at San Jose State, where he also achieved a double-double.

Overall this season, Muniz is averaging 9.5 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.9 rebounds. His 153 total assists rank seventh in Colorado State program history. He also leads the Mountain West in both assists per game and assist-to-turnover ratio, boasting a ratio of 3.26.

Brandon Rechsteiner: Sharpshooter Earns Honorable Mention

Brandon Rechsteiner’s consistent shooting performance earned him an honorable mention from the conference. The junior averaged 12.6 points per game during conference games, making 2.45 three-pointers per game at a 38.9% clip. Rechsteiner scored in double figures in 14 of 20 conference games and surpassed 15 points six times.

This season, Rechsteiner is making 2.61 three-pointers per game, ranking 91st nationally.

Rams Prepare for Mountain West Tournament

Muniz, Rechsteiner, and the rest of the Colorado State Rams will begin their journey in the 2026 Mountain West Tournament on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. MT, facing off against Fresno State.
