Korean Men’s Handball Team begins Training for Asian Championships

The Korea Handball Association announced on March 29th that the Korean men’s handball team will begin full-scale training at the Jincheon National Team Training Center in North Chungcheong Province, in planning for the 22nd Asian Men’s Handball Championships. The championships will be held in Kuwait from April 15th to 29th.

Korea is placed in Group A alongside Oman and Qatar. Reaching the semifinals of the tournament will qualify the team for the 30th IHF World Men’s Championship. This year’s championship features 15 countries, divided into four groups, with the second-place team from each group advancing to the finals.

The national team is led by coach Young-shin Cho.
