Omaha Lancers’ Reese Lantz Named USHL Defenseman of the Week

Omaha Lancers defenseman Reese Lantz has been named the USHL Defenseman of the Week for the week of March 20-22, 2026. The 18-year-old recorded five points (one goal and four assists) in two games against the USA Hockey National Team Development Program’s Under-17 team, both of which resulted in wins for the Lancers.

Lantz’s Performance

Lantz contributed two assists in a 5-2 victory on Friday, March 20th. He followed up with an even more impressive performance on Saturday, March 21st, scoring one goal and adding two assists in a dominant 10-0 win. He finished the weekend with a team-high plus-5 rating.

Lantz currently leads all Omaha defensemen with 25 points, placing him 13th among all USHL blueliners in scoring. He has been particularly productive recently, accumulating 18 points (two goals and 16 assists) over his last 23 games.
