Wofford Men’s soccer Announces six Signees
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford men’s head coach Ryan Osborne has announced six student-athletes who have signed an athletics aid agreement or letter of commitment to join the Terriers in the spring and fall.
This class features three international signees, two from the United Kingdom and one from Ireland. The class also features three signees from the Carolinas.
“We are excited to welcome our six signees into our program and the wofford family,” said head coach Ryan Osborne.”We feel that thay all possess many qualities as people and players that align with what we want our team to look like. We look forward to making many special memories with them on and off the field.”

Wofford College Announces Additions to Men’s Soccer recruiting Class of 2025

Wofford College has announced the addition of three talented student-athletes – Jack Holmes, Ben Horgan, and Gavin Pierce – to its men’s soccer program, all expected to join the team for the 2025 season. These additions bolster the Terriers’ roster with players demonstrating strong skills and accomplishments at both the high school and club levels.Eligibility is contingent upon triumphant admission to Wofford College and full compliance with NCAA regulations, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
Jack Holmes – Midfielder from tadworth, United Kingdom
Jack Holmes, a midfielder, joins Wofford from Tadworth, United Kingdom, where he attended Whitgift School. During his time with Cambridge United, Holmes distinguished himself as a key player, captaining the U18 team and appearing in over 50 games. His contributions were recognized with the “Moments of the Year Award” during his second year with the club. This experience demonstrates his leadership qualities and consistent performance on the field.
Ben Horgan – Forward from Clover, South Carolina
ben Horgan, a forward from Clover, South Carolina, attends Gaston Day School in Gastonia, North Carolina. His junior and senior seasons were particularly outstanding, combining for 72 goals. Horgan’s achievements have earned him numerous accolades, including three-time All-State selection and being named gaston Day’s 2024-2025 Athlete of the Year. He is also a two-time State Champion and was recognized on the All-Charlotte Observer First Team and All-Region First Team for Class 1A-4A. Horgan also plays with CSA, alongside future Wofford teammate Henry Boner.
Gavin Pierce – Winger from Clover, South Carolina

His junior season was a breakout year, where he scored 24 goals and provided 36 assists. Pierce has been instrumental in leading his team to three USL Academy Conference titles and was the top goal scorer on his USL Academy team. He has also received recognition as an ECNL All-Conference First Team honoree and helped his team reach the group stage of the ECNL Playoffs for two consecutive years.
