Nevada Men’s Tennis Defeats Pomona-Pitzer 6-0, Advances to Golden State Invitational
LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Nevada Men’s Tennis team returned to competition, securing a decisive 6-0 victory over Pomona-Pitzer in La Jolla, California. The match followed the Wolf Pack’s participation in the PAC Coast Doubles Championship.
Dominant Doubles Performance
Nevada (5-2) quickly established control by winning the doubles point. The pairings of Rémy Trégourès and Greg Valente, along with Axel Huysmans and Max Contet, both achieved 6-2 victories.
Singles Sweep
The Wolf Pack continued their strong performance into singles play. Trégourès won his match at No. 1 singles with scores of 6-4, 6-2, although Hermassi defeated Sam English 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2. Huysmans secured a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3. Valente added another point for Nevada, defeating Tanner Ige 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5. Contet completed the sweep with a 4-2, retirement win at No. 6.
