Pitt State to Host 2026 MIAA Indoor Championships
PITTSBURG, Kan. – Pittsburg State University will host the 2026 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Indoor Track & Field Championships from February 27 to March 1 at the Robert W. Plaster Center/Harvey Dean Track.
Championship Format and Scoring
The MIAA conducts championship events in both men’s and women’s indoor track & field. The top eight finishers in each individual and relay event will score team points, with the top three earning “All-MIAA” recognition.
Recent Team Performance
Pittsburg State’s men’s team has won the past five MIAA Indoor Championships, while the Gorilla women have secured the last four titles.

NCAA Championship Qualification
The field for the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach (March 13-14) will be announced next week. Qualification standards include the top 18 times/marks in individual events, top 16 in multi-events, and top 12 relays. Ties will be broken by the next best time/mark.
