President of the United States (US) Donald Trump threatened to launch an attack on Mexico because it failed to handle drug distribution. Replying to Trump, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is not afraid of these threats.
Trump conveyed the attack plan when speaking to journalists on Monday (17/11) local time. Trump was initially asked by reporters at the White House whether he would approve of a US anti-drug operation in Mexico.
Trump then replied that he would authorize an attack on Mexico, if deemed necessary. Because, he believes that the authorities of the US neighboring country to the south have failed to deal with drug smuggling groups.
“Would I launch an attack in Mexico to stop drugs? That’s fine with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs,” Trump said.
“I’m not saying I will do it, but I will be proud to do it. because we will save millions of lives by doing it,” added Trump, reported by the news agency AFP Tuesday (18/11).
