Atlanta Programmers Release Reflective Debut Album ‘Smoke &’, Born From Conference Call Lyrics

Atlanta-based family music project MIЯROЯMOЯE has released its debut album, Smoke &, a collection of songs unexpectedly crafted from lyrics penned during lengthy technology consulting calls. The 12-track album, released March 11, 2026, explores themes of memory, fading friendships, love, and the passage of time.

From Conference Calls to Creative Outlet

The members of MIЯROЯMOЯE, who work as programmers and technical consultants, began jotting down lyrical ideas in notebooks and text files to pass the time during long virtual meetings. What started as a personal coping mechanism evolved into a full-fledged album. “A lot of these lyrics started as something to do during long conference calls. Eventually we realized we had a whole album hiding in the margins,” the group shared in a press release via USA Today.
