Miami Hurricanes Sweep Lafayette Behind Dubovik’s Power
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes secured a dominant sweep of the Lafayette Leopards, winning Saturday night’s game 14-3 in seven innings at Mark Light Field at Alex Rodriguez Park. This victory clinched the four-game series for the Hurricanes, with freshman Dylan Dubovik leading the charge.

Dylan Dubovik was instrumental in Miami’s win, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI. His performance included a grand slam, marking his second home run of the season. Dubovik too hit a two-run shot during the game.
Collera Shines on the Mound
Miami right-hander Lazaro Collera (1-0) earned the win after a stellar 5.0-inning performance, allowing only one hit while striking out 10 and walking two. This marked a career-high in strikeouts for the Miami native. CanesInsight reports that Collera’s performance was a key factor in the Hurricanes’ victory.

Further runs came from a Michael Torres triple and a sixth-inning rally that included a double by Brandon DeGoti and an RBI single by Jailen Watkins. The sixth inning extended Miami’s lead to 14-0.
