Early Life and Education
Born on January 5, 1967, in Ironton, Ohio, Michelle Bowman’s passion for music and community began early. She was a graduate of Ironton High School, where she participated in the marching band, fostering a lifelong love for football and marching bands. She continued her education at Ohio University, Southern Campus, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Driven by a desire to serve others, she pursued her legal education at Capital University in Columbus, ultimately receiving her Juris Doctorate.
Professional Career
Following her admission to the bar, Bowman embarked on a distinguished legal career. She began at the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office, advocating for those in need. Her commitment to upholding the integrity of the legal profession led her to the Office of Disciplinary Counsel at the Supreme Court, and later to the Ohio Nursing Association. Capital University’s faculty and alumni consistently demonstrate a commitment to public service, a value clearly embodied by Bowman’s career path.
Community Involvement and Personal Life
Bowman was known for her ability to connect with people from all walks of life, always seeking to find the best in others. She was an advocate for Big Brothers and Sisters, mentoring children and guiding them toward positive futures. A devoted fan of THE Ohio State University, she enthusiastically supported the Buckeyes and the renowned TBDBITL marching band. Her love for animals was also a defining characteristic, and she volunteered at the CHA Animal Shelter, offering her time and compassion to animals in need.
Family and Legacy
Michelle Bowman is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Robbie Bowman; fur children Buckeye and Scarlet; her brothers Deron (Heather) and Jeff Lambert; stepmother Lynn Lambert; sister-in-law Susan (Gary) McGuire; nephews and nieces Isabella (Austin) Hopper, Jack, Lauren, and Aiden Lambert, Tara, Macey (Batu), and Devyn (Nina) McGuire; great-nephew Asher “Ash” Hopper, and numerous cousins and their spouses. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie Lambert and Connie Sue Bryant, several aunts and uncles, nephew Gary McGuire, Jr., and her beloved fur children Tiffany, Rocky, Max, and Faith.
Visitation and Service
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Michelle Bowman’s life at Schoedinger Dublin, located at 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. To 12:00 noon, followed by a service. A gathering with refreshments will be held at the same location until 2:00 p.m.
