Michoacán Launches Free Data Program for Students to Bridge Digital Divide

Morelia, Michoacán – The government of Michoacán, led by Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, is implementing the Free Data Program to provide digital access to high school students in public institutions. This initiative, a key component of the Michoacán Plan for Peace and Justice, aims to combat school dropout rates and ensure equitable access to connectivity, according to Secretary of Education Gabriela Molina.

Program Details and Registration

Students can register for the program digitally through a dedicated portal, requiring only their CURP (Unique Population Registry Code) and registration details. The registration period closes on March 8th. The program prioritizes direct distribution, bypassing intermediaries to ensure support reaches students efficiently. Physical SIM cards are scheduled to be delivered to campuses across the state between March 17th and 27th.
