The College of Idaho installed a new 10mm video display and custom scoreboard at Simplot Stadium, according to an announcement released by Nevco on September 4, 2026. The upgrades arrive as the Yotes football program enters the season ranked No. 4 nationally in the 2026 NAIA preseason poll following an 11-2 record and an outright Frontier West Division title.
Simplot Stadium Infrastructure Upgrades
Simplot Stadium is a 4,800-capacity venue located near downtown Caldwell, Idaho, that has hosted Yotes football, soccer, and lacrosse since 2014. The installation centers on a 10mm Nevco video display operated via Nevco One Video Pro software, which outputs live action, instant replays, and graphics across the field, according to Nevco. Directly beneath the screen sits a custom purple football scoreboard featuring Electronic Team Names and a matching digital game timer with white LED digits.
“Our program has come a long way in a short time, and it means a lot to have a stadium that reflects that,” said Reagan Rossi, Vice President of Athletics at The College of Idaho, in the announcement. “Nevco has been a great partner through this process, and this new display and scoreboard will give our fans and student-athletes the game-day experience this team has earned.”
Broader Capital Improvements Across Athletics
The video board project joins a broader capital investment initiative across athletic facilities at The College of Idaho. According to university disclosures, the program-wide push includes new turf installations at both Simplot Stadium and Wolfe Field, court and bleacher replacements at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center, and updates to the campus Aquatic Center. These facility enhancements coincide with the rapid competitive ascent of Yotes athletics, which featured the program’s first-ever night game under newly installed lights in 2024 before hosting NAIA semifinal-caliber postseason play a season later.

“This installation was about giving The College of Idaho a facility that matches the trajectory of this program,” said Alex Brewer, Senior Sports Video Consultant at Nevco. “From the video display to the scoreboard, every detail was built to support a team that’s just getting started.”
